If anyone asks you what JoinTheImpact is, you tell them “You’re looking at it.” YOU ARE THE IMPACT. Last night, it was YOU that stood up and demanded change! It was YOU who said that you will not be silenced anymore. It was YOU who touched 1 million people with the message of equality. YOU lit up the night! YOU are this movement. YOU are the hope for equality. YOU ARE THE IMPACT!

I invite everyone to view my new (second) YouTube video with the sound of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Silent Night/7 O’Clock News” utilizing photo’s of various nationwide “Light Up The Night for Equality” events held on December 20, 2008. The song, to me, is perfect for the holiday timing and it’s News retrospect. View it @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TmY1RZbpVw A Higher Quality Video can be downloaded by going to the ‘more info’ area on the YouTube site. Very special thanks to all the participants, and those who provided pictures to JoinTheImpact. com and Towleroad.com!

I didn’t do a video, but here’s a slideshow of photos from the San Francisco event in Union Square: http://luvnoth8.blogspot.com/2008/12/light-up-night-san-francisco-edition.html

I saw the New York video. If that is all you can come up with for light up the night in New York, you have a long ways to go to impact people in this country. New York has a large gay population and for so few to show up for this event only shows how uneventful this movement is. 1,000,000 + is not only a joke, it is also a lie. No way did you get that many people out in the streets. I even read where the day without gays in the Castro area in San Francisco wasn’t even observed. It was business as usual. You lost and it shows in the support for jointheimpact.
